Download the Microsoft Authenticator App on Android
1. Launch the Play Store on your Mobile phone.
2. Search for Microsoft Authenticator App.
3. Click Install.
4. Once the app is installed, click on Open.
5. On the Accounts screen, click on ADD ACCOUNT.
6. Under “What kind of account are you adding?” Select Work or school account.
7. At this point you may receive a prompt asking whether to allow the app to take pictures and
record video. You must select Allow so the authenticator app can access your camera to take
a picture of the QR code as part of the registration process. If you do not allow the camera,
you can still set up the authenticator app, but you will need to add the code information
manually.
8. Setup is now complete. You are now ready to progress with
setting up 2FA.
