When having a Teams meeting with a mix of participants where some are remote and some are physical, it can be hard to include those remote viewers in the meeting with reliable sound and Microphones.

To combat this, the trust has deployed Poly Sync devices to our schools.

The device is simple to use, but for a rough guide, follow the next few steps. If you require further assistance, please refer to the attached guide from Poly Sync.

1. Before joining the Teams meeting, plug in the Poly Sync tool to your laptop via the USB
2. Open Microsoft Teams and join your meeting
3. Make sure that the audio device says it is using the Poly Sync connected device
4. Place the device as central as possible of all the attendants of the meeting.
5. If the users on the laptop complain that the speech is quiet - you have selected your laptop or desktops microphone, rather than the Poly Sync, quit the meeting and rejoin, making sure the Poly Sync is selected as the audio device.
